1980

SCHOEN BUILDING & SUPPLY FOUNDED:

The business began at Dan Schoen's residence in 1980 with a main focus on building new homes.

1987

MOVING DAY:

Home Idea Center moved to the old Les Wenning Ford building on Butler Street in Fort Recovery, OH .

Mid-1980s

SCHOEN BUILDING & SUPPLY BECAME HOME IDEA CENTER:

Interior design became a core focal point within this company with custom cabinetry and counterops.

1997

BRAND NEW BUILDING:

Home Idea Center moved into a brand new building and showroom located in the Fort Recovery Industrial Park.

2002

NEW PARTNERS:

Dan's Son-in-law & Daughter, Travis & Stacy Laux, bought Gary Steinbrunner's portion of Home Idea Center.

A new CNC Machine was also purchase to create more internal automation in production.

2012

MORE EFFICIENCY:

A new recuprocasting sprayer was purchased to increase production efficiency.

2016

NEW ON THE BLOCK:

Home Idea Center built and moved into a new building & showroom in the Fort Recovery Industrial Park where they are still located today.

2019

A NEW PARTNERSHIP BEGINS:

Dustin (an employee since 2016) & Alyssa Schemmel began to buy into Home Idea Center.
